Our sincere apologies to all the category winners who did not receive their medals or trophies from the 2008 league. Unfortunately the last round was cancelled because snow forced the closure of the school premises and as a result we lost the opportunity to hold a presentation. However we look forward to awarding the medals and trophies when those riders attend their first event of 2009. |

The Central CXL kicks off with an exciting new event at the Blenheim Palace Cycling festival on Sun 4th October. The times and entry cost for the blenheim Palace event vary from the rest of the events in the League as it needs to fit in with the festival schedule and entries also include entry to the festival and the beautiful grounds at Blenheim Palace. Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club are promoting cyclo-cross racing at Longdean School, Hemel Hempstead on Sunday 9th November 2008 as round 2 of the new British Cycling Central Region Cyclo-Cross League, consisting of 6 races from September to February. |

Six riders represented Icknield Road Cycling Club on Saturday at an Eastern Region Cyclo-Cross competition. The event at Welwyn had over 120 riders who turned up to ride a specially designed parkland course at Stanborough Park. |
